I had the opportunity to mix a variety of unique musical theatre shows while at Baylor. Some of these "CaBEARet" shows combines lots of different mic, shows, and staging styles

American Eclipse

Baylor Theatre collaborated with the producers of Michael John LaChiusa's new musical American Eclipse. This was the first public showing of the production and featured a number of Broadway actors. This show used a combination of ear worn, handheld, and hanging mics to mix this staged reading version of the show.

9to5

Baylor's musical theatre class put on a production of 9to5. I was the audio mentor and taught a younger student how to use the digital mixing board, got the students into mics, and acted as an A2 during the performances.

Sunday In The Park With George

I was the sound mixer for Baylor Theatre's production of Sunday in the Park With George.

This show was a little different because it only used standing mic and floor mics that were either color labeled or given a number. I learned very quickly during my first rehearsal that it was important for me to write down each time a person stepped up to a mic or a particular floor mic needed to be raised.
